£150m deal fully secured by Urbo to allow work to start at £300m West Bar development

Urbo, which completed a conditional funding agreement with Legal & General in 2020, has now achieved all of the joint objectives to allow a full start on site for a £150m first phase of the £300m West Bar development.
A £94 million construction contract has been awarded to Bowmer & Kirkland to deliver the first 100,000 sq.ft. Grade A office building, No.1 West Bar Square, 368 build-to-rent residential apartments. Two public spaces will also be provided, West Bar Square, which will be the heart of the commercial public realm area and Soho Yard, which will serve the residential BTR apartments. This will be followed by a 450 space multi-storey car park and a second 100,000 sq.ft. office building – No 2 West Bar Square.
